The Estate of Payson 'Bunky' Cushing
Susanin’s announces the Estate of Payson ‘Bunky’ Cushing. Cushing’s items will be auctioned off throughout a series of three separate auctions, to take place on Saturday, March 19th, Wednesday, April 20th, and Saturday April 30th. Included in these auctions will be Cushing’s collection of paintings & prints, furniture, Louis Vuitton trunks, Hermes Scarves, fine jewelry and timepieces, books, porcelain & silver, and men’s accessories, such as ties, pocket squares and scarves.
An exhibition cocktail reception in honor of Bunky Cushing will take place on Thursday, April 28th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Susanin’s Auction House (900 South Clinton Street). The event will be co-sponsored by Yalumba Winery and will feature wine tastings throughout the evening. Bunky, who was an avid needlework enthusiast, crafted a pillow collection and accesories throughout his years. Bunky’s pillow collection will be sold exclusively during the cocktail reception, where a silent auction will be conducted.
